ABOUT US

Established in 1970 by Kerry Millar, Millars Machinery was built from the ground up, having started on a farm in Killinchey near Leeston. Kerry had a keen eye for farm machinery and tractors and his dealer’s instinct soon took him to premises in Leeston, where he secured the John Deere tractor franchise for the South Island.

In 1979, Millars Tractor Spares was born after Kerry purchased Giltrap Tractor Spares in Doyleston from Ian Giltrap. He continued running the two companies in separate locations, as well as opening machinery outlets in Oamaru and Christchurch and gaining the ISEKI franchise.

Gavin Millar became the sole owner of the company in 2016 and has maintained its position as New Zealand’s largest tractor dismantler. Over the last ten years, the company has concentrated their efforts on buying the latest model tractors for dismantling from all over New Zealand.

With over 40 years in the industry, their knowledge of tractors from 1960 onwards is unmatched by any other dismantler in New Zealand. Millars Tractor Spares have wrecked more makes and more models that anyone else and know which parts are interchangeable between models. Their dedicated team strives for quality of parts and service and will do all they can to dispatch parts overnight where possible.
